Year-round family programs

Camp Goodtimes is excited to host a variety of free programs throughout the year to help reconnect campers and families or make an introduction to the camp community. 

Family Fun and Bonding

Family Fun and Bonding events (FABs) are single-day events that offer a chance to reconnect with old camp friends or be introduced to the Camp Goodtimes community. Accommodations are available if you have to travel far within your region for the event. Registration opens one month before the event is scheduled. 

Bereaved Family Retreat

This is a spring weekend program for bereaved families to connect, relax and enjoy nature. This retreat will be open to any bereaved families that live in any region of BC.  The 2020 Bereaved Family Retreat will be Friday, May 22 – Sunday, May 24 at Eagle Valley Retreat Centre in Squamish. The weekend will consist of fun camp programming in the beautiful location. There will be opportunity to relax, recharge, and connect as a family and with other families.

Family programs by region
Vancouver region

Date: Sunday, December 1

Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Location: North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex

What to Expect: Come join us at the North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex for a morning of skating! Camp Goodtimes will have the exclusive use of one of the rinks for two hours where families can skate, drink hot chocolate, and create some winter crafts. Helmet and skate rentals will be available at no cost.


Date: Tuesday, December 10

Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Location: Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge

What to Expect: Capilano Suspension Bridge puts on a holiday display that you will ever forget. Covering the forest and bridge with holiday lights, take a magical stroll through the treetops decorated with hundreds of thousands of lights.


Fraser Valley

Date: Sunday, October 20th

Time: 10:30am – 2:00pm

Location: Chilliwack Corn Maze & Pumpkin Farm

What to Expect: Celebrate the turning of leaves and sweater weather with a fall staple – a trip to a corn maze and pumpkin farm! Join Camp Goodtimes at Chilliwack Corn Maze & Pumpkin Farm for a chance to pick your own family pumpkin, roast some s’mores, enjoy a hearty lunch, and unleash your inner artist in a pumpkin carving contest! Afterwards you are more than welcome to stay at the farm as long as you want to enjoy its many incredible attractions including a giant corn maze, farm animals, jumping pillow and more.

Vancouver Island

Date: Sunday, January 19, 2020

Where: 4Cats Art Studio (Uptown), Victoria

When: 10:45am – 1:00pm

What to Expect: Spend the morning exploring your own creativity! With the facilitation of the 4Cats teachers, caregivers will complete their own creation while the kids and teens work on their own project. We’ll finish the activity with some light snacks and getting to tour each other’s art projects!


Date: Sunday, May 3, 2020

Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Where: Scandia Golf & Games, Kelowna

What to Expect: Whether you want to race around the track, take a swing in the batting cages, or try your hand at arcade games, Scandia Golf & Games has something for everyone! Scandia will open early at 9:00am for Camp Goodtimes to have a run of the park until we regroup for a pizza lunch around 12:30!
