Our supporters

Our supporters

The generosity of donors, volunteers and corporate partners makes the magic of camp a reality. We thank all supporters who share in our commitment to improve the lives of children, teens and families affected by cancer and make it possible for them to enjoy camp free of charge.

We are pleased to recognize the following donors who significantly contribute to the Camp Goodtimes program.

The Abercrombie Foundation

Since 2012, the Abercrombie Foundation’s generosity has enabled hundreds of BC families to attend the Family Program at Camp Goodtimes. Thanks to Abercrombie Foundation’s commitment to supporting the welfare of children and families, Camp Goodtimes helps families make memories to cherish.

Cops for Cancer

Each year, law enforcement and emergency services personnel from across British Columbia cycle across Vancouver Island, Northern BC, the coast of BC and the Fraser Valley in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Thanks to the generosity of all of our supporters, riders and volunteers, proceeds from Cops for Cancer in BC fund life-saving childhood cancer research and supportive programs like Camp Goodtimes to help kids and families live better with and beyond cancer.

Robert G. Heimbecker

Robert G. Heimbecker established the R.G. Heimbecker Media Arts Program at Camp Goodtimes in 2015 in honour of his parents. As a dedicated donor and member of the Canadian Cancer Society’s BC & Yukon Board of Directors, Robert aims to inspire others to experience the joy of giving back. In Robert’s words, “If I can help out in a small way, and maybe give a little joy into {a kid’s} life, it comes back ten-fold and I get joy in my life.”

Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade

Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) is comprised of a group of committed volunteers from the insurance industry who dedicate their time and talents to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, across the country and in BC. Since its inception in 2002, WICC BC has raised over $2.37 million, fuelling research in cancer prevention and support, and enabling life-changing programs for youth like Camp Goodtimes.

Care Camps

Through its charitable fundraising efforts, Care Camps will provide necessary support to send kids with cancer to medically supervised cancer camps where they can have fun, build awesome friendships, feel the joy that comes from camping and spending time in nature, make memories that will help them heal and ultimately return home feeling renewed and filled with hope. Care Camps annually support Camp Goodtimes.
